Jesus Tijerna

Joining us from Mexico, Jesus shares the same passion for Architecture that runs through GSC, but his journey here was more colorful than most. After spending 3 years as a professional soccer player, Jesus began his career in Mexico as a junior architect and supervisor for the development of many residential subdivisions where he gained a strong background in construction, project management and prove success in leading multi-functional teams to achieve successful projects. Like all most architects, Jesus has always been fascinated by the process in which an abstract idea turns into a brick and mortar reality. An engaging team player, Jesus loves stretching his creativity and collaborating in a multi-disciplined environment to create intriguing new projects.

We are all inspired by Jesus’ goals to never settle and always keep learning and keep growing as a human an as a professional architect.

Three years ago, Jesus and his wife took a big leap of faith and moved to Austin.  Jesús brought his architectural background and design skills to the AV industry as a Landscape and Interior Lighting Designer for a high-end residential system integration company before joining us at GSC. He is a forward-thinking technical designer on many of our new campus renovation projects, and an extremely knowledgeable addition to our construction administration team. When he’s not in the office, Jesus can be found playing competitive soccer, Latin Dancing or simply enjoying great tacos from Vaquero Taquero with a little Scotch and Topochico on the side. Soon to be a proud new father, Jesus also loves spending loads of time in Zilker Park with his fur babies: Japanese Sptiz Ryuu and Schnoodle Brody.
